Technology
I am a true geek – always have been and I always will be. I have always loved technology – and the wealth of creativity, information, problem solving and social networking that has come with it.
My first computers were:
- An Atari gaming machine which had cartridges and pull-out joysticks
- Spectrum ZX-81 (actually it was an office computer which my dad used to bring home)
- Commodore 64
- Commodore Amiga 500 (which I later upgraded from 0.5MB to 1MB RAM at a cost of £35)
- Amiga CD32
- Sega Game Gear
- Sega Master System
- Sega Megadrive
- 386-SX laptop (greyscale display)
- 486-DX2-66Mhz PC
- P120 Intel Pentium PC (this was the first PC I built, when I was around 14)
After building my first PC, I went on to build myself a new one around every 2 years. Recently this has become around every 3 years, because advances in hardware mean that it doesn’t become redundant as quickly
I won’t detail what I have now, because it is always changing. Suffice is to say that I will always have a fast PC (capable of playing the latest games), multiple monitors, peripherals, tablets, fitness equipment, cameras, etc.
